Abdel Rahman El-Shahed is currently holding his solo exhibition under the title "Kaf Lam Meem" at Hafez Gallery, in Saudi Arabia, which started on January 4, 2022.
 
The exhibition discusses some of the possibilities of the Arabic letter, and its endless creative characteristics, whether the letter is connected or separated, absent or present, and whether it is spoken, understood, or separated. The selected artworks show a wide area of contemplation and imagination, involving the human senses and perception, as well as shed light on many important human values.
 
Abd El-Rahman al-Shahed was born and raised in Mecca in 1993, Saudi Arabia. Abd El-Rahman al-Shahed studied at Umm al-Qura University, College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture. He learned the art of Arabic calligraphy at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and received the honor of a license in Arabic calligraphy in 2012. He taught Arabic calligraphy, gave several lectures on Islamic art, and has several published research papers in this field. He received a master's degree in architecture from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 2021. He also worked as a creative director and organized many art exhibitions and programs.
 
El-Shahed's works focus on spiritual architecture, (Arabic calligraphy). His works discuss various ideas and concepts as important values for humanity and show them in different and deep symbolic mediums. As for Arabic letters and architecture, they constitute an important communication tool in his contemporary artistic discourse.
Among his most important designs, one of the largest calligraphy gates in the world, which was at the Jeddah International Book Fair in Saudi Arabia in 2016.
 
His works were acquired from several organizations, such as UNESCO in Paris, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh, and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. Among a number of intellectuals and cultural men, such as His Excellency the former Minister of Culture, Dr. Muhammad Abdo Yamani - may God have mercy on him - and His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, Governor of the Medina region.
El-Shahed also has private groups in several countries such as the United States, Germany, Turkey, the UAE, China, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
