If you’re driving to the Grand Canyon National Park, you might think about heading north. Just about 2.5 hours drive to the town of Page, Arizona, you’ll find two popular stops. Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon are both majestic spots that should be on your road trip itinerary.
Horseshoe Bend is a free entrance recreational area perfect for some thrill-seekers that want incredible views and canyon pictures. The best times for viewing is in the early morning hours when it’s still not too hot and the traffic is much lighter. From the parking lot to the cliff is a short walk on a sandy and rocky path, but not too difficult. At the cliff, you must be careful as there are no railings or a visitor lookout, but if you want great pictures there is plenty of big rocks to sit on for the view.

After leaving Horseshoe Bend and in about a 20-minute drive, you will arrive at the Upper and the Lower Antelope tours. It's hard to decide which tour to do, however, the cost of the tour might help you pick (Upper Antelope is $45 and Lower Antelope is $25).
