Amman, Jordan — October 2–17, 2026 | The Hanger, Ras El Ain & venues across Amman and Aqaba

After a seven-year pause, Amman Design Week returns for its fourth edition, bringing together a new generation of regional creatives under the theme “Accumulations.” Running from October 2 to 17, the 2026 edition explores how design carries traces of place, memory and time — transforming what has been inherited into something newly imagined.

The main showcase unfolds at The Hanger in Ras El Ain, a former 1930s electricity-generating plant that has been transformed into a cultural and exhibition space. Across the venue and other locations in Amman and Aqaba, the programme brings together around 120 creatives through installations, exhibitions, workshops and talks.

Among the most evocative works is “Troubled Waters” by Palestinian architect and historian Nadi Abusaada. Developed over nine years, the project begins with a surviving tile from a lost fountain in Jerusalem. From this fragment, Abusaada reconstructs an imagined piece of architectural history, turning a small remnant of the past into a wider reflection on memory, place and disappearance.

Elsewhere, Folly by Civil Architecture takes a more material approach to accumulation. Discarded eucalyptus wood and Jordanian ceramics are reimagined into a sculptural canopy winding through Ras El Ain Park, demonstrating how overlooked materials can acquire a new architectural life.

At Darat Abu Adnan, Jordanian designer Farah Tajeddin presents The Return, a delicate collection of candleholders made using salt from the Dead Sea. The work speaks quietly about home, memory and the passage of time, allowing an everyday material from Jordan’s landscape to become an object charged with meaning.

What makes this edition particularly compelling is the way its long absence becomes part of the story. Rather than simply returning to where it left off, Amman Design Week uses the idea of accumulation to look at what has gathered in the years between editions — materials, memories, experiences and new creative voices.

This year, design feels less like a finished object and more like a record of what remains, what changes and what can be imagined again.

Amman Design Week 2026 runs from October 2 to 17, 2026, across venues in Amman and Aqaba, with The Hanger in Ras El Ain serving as its main showcase.
