The move comes after the United Kingdom removed Spain from the list of safe countries amid concerns that the country is suffering from a second wave of COVID-19 infection. This means that travelers arriving in the UK will have to go to their homes directly or to other suitable accommodations, with a 14-day period of self-isolation starting from the day after their arrival. It is not permitted to leave the home for work, exercise or socializing with others, but they may leave for medical appointments, to attend court or go to the funeral. They may also shop for essentials, if no one else can do it for them.
