Working from home quickly became essential for many professionals around the world in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has increased the demand for innovative at-home office designs like the 'Sunken Studio.' Created by Brazil-based designer Igor Leal, the concept office was designed for a client in Rio de Janeiro and is intended to be fitted into the garden of a residential home. This is achieved by going below the ground surface without affecting how the property looks from afar.

The 'Sunken Studio' offers more than 505 square feet, and is accented by a living roof on the exterior along with a meeting table, kitchenette, bathroom and more inside. A small courtyard just outside of the space has a small bench for taking breaks between activities.
