The Inca Castle will not open in Machu Picchu, Peru's main tourist site, on July 1, the government announced. The reopening was postponed due to delays in implementing health security measures to control coronaviruses and because a number of equipment, such as tests, are still not available.

The Machu Picchu Administration Unit (UGM) made this decision based on reports from the authorities of the Cusco region, where Machu Picchu is located.
