As part of Beirut Art Days, Lebanese multidisciplinary artist Dima Youssef Rbeiz unveiled her first solo exhibition, In Seam, at l’atelier by Maher Attar, running from 24 to 27 June 2026.

The exhibition brings together 19 artworks developed through Rbeiz's long-term artistic practice, La Chaleur Humaine ("Human Warmth"), a philosophy rooted in collecting, preserving, and reimagining everyday materials. Inspired by her childhood in Beirut and her family's traditions in Bishmizzine, Koura, she transforms discarded fabrics, threads, paper, rubber, and found objects into works that explore memory, care, belonging, and sustainability.

At the heart of the exhibition is Rainbow (2017–2025), a vibrant signature piece created over eight years. Composed of carefully gathered textile remnants stitched together by a single yellow seam, the work symbolizes the invisible connections that bind people, memories, and histories. Other highlights include Beirut Conversations (2017–2023), the first artwork created under La Chaleur Humaine, Beirut the 70s (2025), made using her father's vintage Lebanese-made silk ties, and Home (2024), a reflection on the meaning of home, safety, and belonging.

Designed as more than a traditional gallery, In Seam also offers visitors a glimpse into the artist's creative process through a dedicated atelier space displaying her collections, materials, and working methods. Complementing the experience, Lebanese artisanal bakery Masa Madre created a menu inspired by the exhibition, featuring handcrafted brioche and limited-edition gelato flavors that echo the exhibition's themes and colors.

Through In Seam, Dima Youssef Rbeiz invites visitors to pause, look closer, and reconsider the value of the objects we often overlook—revealing how even the smallest fragments can carry stories worth preserving.
