This spring, Dubai enters a new phase of cultural momentum with the launch of Alserkal Art Month, a month-long initiative transforming Alserkal Avenue into a dynamic platform for artistic exchange.

Running from 18 April to 18 May 2026, the programme expands beyond the traditional format of Art Week, offering a broader and more inclusive vision of the UAE’s creative scene. By bringing together artists, collectives, and cultural practitioners from across the region, the initiative highlights a growing emphasis on collaboration and community within contemporary art.

Structured across five weekends, the programme unfolds as a continuous cultural experience. Visitors move between exhibitions, performances, workshops, and public installations, engaging with art not as isolated works but as part of an evolving dialogue.

Among the highlights is the launch of multiple gallery exhibitions across the Avenue, alongside Still A Sky We Hold, a newly commissioned public artwork by Shilpa Gupta. Another key moment is Déjà vu, a curated group exhibition bringing together UAE-based galleries at Concrete, accompanied by a series of talks led by Nadine Khalil.

Beyond exhibitions, the programme embraces experimental formats. From interdisciplinary collaborations to community-led initiatives such as poetry readings, slow walks, and interactive workshops, the event redefines how audiences engage with art in public space.

Positioned alongside Art Dubai 2026, Alserkal Art Month reinforces Dubai’s role as a regional cultural hub. More than a celebration, it reflects a shift towards a more connected, participatory, and resilient art ecosystem.
