The seventh edition of Art Cairo will take place from 22–26 January 2026, hosted at the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza Pyramids.
This year’s theme — “Arab. Art. Here.” — seeks to celebrate the Arabic language as a living art form, one that connects past and present, and serves as a source of creative expression in the Arab art ecosystem.

Founded to support Arab artists and galleries, Art Cairo acts as a vital bridge between the region’s creative communities and collectors, spanning both established and emerging talent. The fair’s mission emphasises accessibility, inspiration and the cultivation of the regional art market from within.

The upcoming edition will feature galleries from Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Türkiye, Senegal, Nigeria and beyond. The programme also honours the legacy of Alexandria-born artist Guirguis Lotfi in recognition of his contribution to Egypt’s artistic landscape and contemporary art at large.
Reports indicate that the sixth edition of the fair achieved total sales exceeding US$1.2 million, underscoring growing market interest in Arab art.

By locating the event within the Grand Egyptian Museum — itself a global landmark of heritage and culture — Art Cairo 2026 aligns contemporary regional art with the weight of historical legacy, offering collectors and visitors a unique dialogue between modern creativity and ancient civilisation.

As the regional art-scene evolves, Art Cairo’s 2026 edition promises to deepen the conversation around identity, language, place and value — positioning Arab art firmly “here” in the global art conversation.
