Danish architecture studio BIG has designed a research and development building named the O-Tower for Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO in Hangzhou.

Described by BIG as being infinity-loop shaped, the skyscraper was designed to "connect ground to sky in a continuous loop of collaboration".

It will surround by an open courtyard, and it will be built within Hangzhou's Future Sci-Tech City alongside a natural lake and a 10,000 square-meter park as an "iconic landmark and gateway" to the business district.

Along with being designed to be a landmark, the building's form is meant to provide a variety of different floorplate sizes and increase the amount of natural light entering the offices.
