Within the framework of a new project approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, an additional 12 km of beaches are to be developed in Dubai.
His Highness revealed the plans on Twitter, indicating that one million square meters of Al Mamzar Beach will be developed to Umm Suqeim 2. The project will cost 500 million dirhams.
In addition to the development of new beach areas, Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is set to undergo a Dh100 million development project, which will see the wetlands in the reserve increase by 20 hectares. In addition, green cover will be increased by planting mangroves on an area of 100 hectares.
