Arizona's Havasupai Falls, so popular that reservations nearly sell out on the first day they become available each year, will be closed to visitors  March 16-April 14,in response to the new coronavirus pandemic. 
 
The Havasupai Tribal Council said it would temporarily suspend hiking and tourism to the canyon in a remote part of northwestern Arizona and that no cases of COVID-19 have been reported till now.
 
Visitors who are already in Supai, the village near the falls, will be allowed to remain through Monday, March 16. All tourists will be required to leave the canyon that day.
