The designer and entrepreneur Terence Conran has died at the age of 88. From the opening of his first Habitat shop on the Fulham Road in 1964, Conran was a towering figure in the British design world. In 1989 he founded the Design Museum, a non-profit institution that in 2016 was relaunched at its new home in South Kensington.
