COYA Dubai will launch its latest exhibition on Monday, March 22, in line with its concept of sensorial curation, combining exquisite Latin American dishes with distinctive imagery and music.
Al Mazrouei’s artwork, oil on canvas, explore strands of abstract expressionism to reach the mind and soul of her audience. The artist does not title her paintings as she believes it will only limit the viewers’ imagination.
Variously abstract and figurative, her paintings focus on different elements of nature and are primarily defined by textures and bold shades of colours and contrast. Her palette knife technique on canvas allows her to create cubistic pieces that look almost three-dimensional in appearance.
Maha studied at Northwest College of Art US and Royal Academy of Arts UK and has a background in business and photography. Her works have been prominently featured at Burj Al Arab Hotel, Jumeirah Vitavelli Maldives, Dubai Airport lounges, among others. In 1996, one of her abstract paintings was chosen as a stamp for the UAE postal authorities.
COYA Dubai’s dining guests will have the chance to view the latest exhibition on display from March 22 until May 22.
