The studio in Rotterdam, led by designer Daan Roosegaarde, used red, blue, and UV lights to transform a field into a dynamic artwork.

Research indicates that certain combinations of light can not only boost a plant's metabolism but also create resistance to both pests and diseases, which also reduces pesticide use by up to 50 percent.

The designer plans to apply this project across the globe, with different photoepilators designed to suit different crops.
